Alpha Eta Mu Beta, National Biomedical Engineering Honor Society


Alpha Eta Mu Beta (AEMB) is the National Biomedical Engineering Honor Society, founded by Dr. Daniel Reneau of Louisiana Tech University in 1979. Membership in AEMB is offered to the top juniors, seniors, and graduate students in ABET-accredited programs as recognition of their scholarship and character.

Alpha Eta Mu Beta chapters throughout the country host professional development activities including:
•    Industry lectures
•    Journal clubs
•    Workshops
•    Annual National Meeting
•    Ethics, public policy, and many other professional development issues

Travel awards are available, with your generous support, for students to attend professional conferences, including the Annual Biomedical Engineering Society Meeting (BMES) that occurs concurrently with the AEMB Annual Grand Meeting.

To continue providing travel scholarships, workshops, and many other activities, we ask for your kind and generous sponsorship, be it from industry and the professional community. AEMB is a recognized 501.3c not-for-profit organization and donations are tax-deductible.

Types of Sponsorship

Sponsorship may include, but is not limited to:
•    Financial contributions towards travel awards and cost of Annual Meeting events
•    Programs/workshop materials
•    Programs/workshop facilitation
•    Internship and scholarship opportunities
•    Alumni can volunteer their time to help with workshops, activities, or any other support
